Show Me a Dinosaur

A small Russian music blog - DKHC - has gathered a collection of post-rock outfits from around the country. Claiming to be based in Siberia, the blog aims for a similarly grand sweep in its tracklist.
Shoegaze, post-metal, and djent recordings are currently available from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, and Sevastopol. With varying degrees of drama, they all hope to escape the status quo.
New recordings from Tartu, Saint Petersburg, and Samara adopt a minor lyrical scale. And yet, for all the obstacles of that miniaturism, we're left with the impression that romance actually benefits as a result. Big, bad actuality is kept at a distance.
